Throughout the play, the four main characters divulge their thoughts, feelings, and emotions about having their loved ones (a father, a mother, a sister, and a grandmother) in jail.

​There are many references to a “cradle” throughout the story, including the game “Cat’s Cradle,” that ultimately represent the support and ritualistic jubilee shared between the characters.

Throughout the play, each character experiences anger, confusion, doubt, fear, friendship, and forgiveness as they recount and reflect on various memories.

​By the end of the show, while the future remains unknown, the characters know that they can rely on each other, as both peers and friends, for love, understanding, and support.
