MEET TAMIEKA CHAVIS - ACTOR (LIZZIE CAMERON)
Tamieka Chavis (Lizzie) Although not a stranger to Ally Theatre Company as an Artistic Ally, Tamieka is thrilled to be debuting in ATC's first season! Recent credits include - Regional: The Hub Theatre: The Late Wedding; Mosaic Theatre Company: CHARM; Chesapeake Shakespeare Company: The Tempest, Macbeth, A Christmas Carol, Romeo and Juliet; NextStop Theatre: Middletown, Eurydice, Love, Loss, and What I Wore; Smithsonian Discovery Theater: Mother Earth and Me, Lions of Industry-Women of Invention (tour); Theatre for the Very Young at The Atlas: Stay Awake; Source Festival: The Word and The Wasteland (DC Metro Theatre Arts Best of 2015: Best Actress in a Play); Off the Quill: Timon of Athens; Longacre Lea: Bones in Whispers; Venus Theatre: Rock the Line. TV/Film: Anacostia (2015 & 2017 Emmy Nominated Daytime Digital Drama Series, and numerous Indie Soap Awards and Nominations including Best Actress and Best Ensemble), The Wire, Psychic Detectives. Education: The National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts: Diploma in Acting. Tamieka is also a Company Member with Chesapeake Shakespeare Company and Smithsonian's Discovery Theater. She is a teaching artist and voiceover actor, and has been featured in numerous commercials, industrials, and radio spots.
